New ZWO 174MM spectroscopy Canopus

Posted by Paulo Cacella on 8th February 2016 in Recent Posts, Spectroscopy
Ive acquired a CMOS cooled ZWO 174MM to use with my LHIRESIII. It is a very cheap and competent camera. Below we can see a normalized spectrum of Canopus in a 400A window and a synthetic spectrum. It was used a LHIRESIII with 12000lpm grating, a 50cm Reflector (MAG Telescope) and a ZWO 174MM camera in 30 seconds exposure. canopus canopus1-s

Zeta Puppis Spectrum HEII 4686A

Posted by Paulo Cacella on 27th December 2014 in B Stars, Recent Posts, Spectroscopy
This was obtained with MAG telescope (50cm) and LHIRESIII at 2400lpm 35u slit. Exposure was 7 x 10 minutes. Frequencies are only an approximation as I´ve not used any reference frame for calibration.
